Histogenetics is a platinum supporter of the WMDA. Histogenetics is the generous supporter of the WMDA annual reports project. As you all know, the WMDA collects data annually about how many unrelated donations and how many cord blood units have been shipped. These data are sent to the WMDA member registries annually. Histogenetics has sponsored this project the past five years.

Another Histogenetics sponsored event was the Nature Celebration in Bern. This unique celebration was in honor of a historic publication of the article: "Leucocyte Antibodies in Sera from Pregnant Women". Jon. J. van Rood, Aad van Leeuwen and G. Eernisse published in Nature, volume 181, page 1735-1736 (April 1958) that they had demonstrated antibodies to leucocytes in the sera of pregnant women.

The beginning of the article marks the birth of immunology and, more importantly, the beginning of the history of unprecedented growth and advancement during the last 50 years in the field of stem cell transplantation.
